Gurgaom: The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) has canceled the registration of all five affordable housing projects being developed by Mahira Infratech Private Limited. Ltd as a developer failed to complete the projects in accordance with the provisions of the Rera Act.
Gurugram RERA has issued orders canceling all five real estate projects of Mahira Infratech Pvt Ltd and Jar Buildtech Pvt Ltd. Mahira’s promoter failed to comply with the provisions of the RERA Act. The authority took the withdrawal action after it failed to complete the construction of five affordable housing projects in various sectors in Gurugram.
Mahira Violated Development Authority Norms
“In terms of Section 7(1)(a), (b) and (d) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016, the Authority deems it fit to withdraw the registrations of affordable housing projects registered by this Authority. Haryana Real Estates (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017 and Regulations of Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Gurugram,” the official in explanation said.
The promoter will be blocked from accessing its website in respect of those projects, the order reported. The Authority under Section 7(4) (a) directed that the name of the promoter be mentioned in the list of defaulters on the website of the Authority.
Bank Accounts of the Projects Shall Freeze
Bank accounts of the projects concerned will be suspended till further orders. Section 7(4) (c) of the Act directed that the accounts of the projects be frozen. This is their statutory rights as assigned under RERA Act 2016. The authority said it would not violate the rules and regulations framed thereunder.
The authority, after examining the matter and details recorded in the proceedings, is satisfied that the promoter has willfully violated various provisions under the RERA Act, 2016. RERA said innocent home buyers are suffering in all the five projects.
Mahira’s Five Affordable Housing Projects
Mahira Homes Sector 68, Mahira Homes Sector 104, Mahira Homes Sector 103, Mahira Homes Sector 63A and Mahira Homes Sector 95 are five affordable housing projects launched by Mahira Infratech and Jar BuildTech in Gurgaon. On February 14, the construction progress at these five project sites was inspected.
