PM to Launch 2,000 Railway Infrastructure Projects

Introduction

PM launches projects: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and dedicate to the nation 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth around Rs 41,000 crore through a video conference on February 26 at 12:30 PM. The total cost of these ROBs and underpasses is around ₹21,520 crore. This historic initiative underscores the importance of providing world-class facilities at railway stations and improving the overall rail infrastructure in India.

PM launches projects: 2,000 railway infrastructure projects

To develop world-class railway infrastructure, Modi will lay the foundation stone for redeveloping 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Spread across 27 states and Union Territories, these stations will be redeveloped at a cost of over Rs. 19,000 crore. These stations act as ‘city centers’, integrating the city’s two sides.

They have modern passenger amenities like a roof plaza, beautiful landscaping, intermodal connectivity, an improved modern facade, a children’s play area, kiosks, food courts, etc. They can be retrofitted to be eco-friendly and disabled-friendly. The design of these station buildings is inspired by local culture, heritage, and architecture.

PM Launches Projects in Uttar Pradesh

Further, a total of The Prime Minister will inaugurate Gomati Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh. Which has been redeveloped for Rs. 385 cores. To cater for future increased passenger traffic, arrival and departure facilities at this station are segregated. It connects both sides of the city. This centrally air-conditioned station has modern passenger facilities, an air concourse, congestion-free circulation, food courts, and ample parking space in the upper and lower basements.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay foundation stones and inaugurate and dedicate 1,500 roads over bridges and underpasses to the Nation. These are spread across 24 states. Union Territories and costs around Rs. 21,520 crore will be spent. These projects will reduce congestion, improve safety and connectivity, and improve trainability and efficiency.

PM Launches Projects in Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate many railway projects today. These include various projects in Madhya Pradesh. According to Aakashvani’s reports, the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony also included the redevelopment of 33 railway stations in Madhya Pradesh.
